This is a "best of" collection of Ron's most recent of 13 albums through the years. The style is all acoustic guitar based, with vocals, and backgrounds from folk to rock to full orchestra on the beautiful "Sunflower". Ron Moore (Ephrem) started music professionally at the age of 16, and was influential in the development of Contemporary Christian Music, and is attributed with that actual name. When the music was called Jesus Rock or Jesus Music, Ron felt the name "Jesus" much too special to just stick on a music genre, and wrote in reviews using the name contemporary Christian. It stuck, but Ron always felt more comfortable on the fringes of CCM, playing in secular colleges, festivals, clubs and coffeehouses, as well as churches and the CCM venues. His "message" songs of faith always have a nonbeliever's ear in mind, avoiding cliches and using more parables, and imagery, and as one reviewer noted, "an unusual poetic sensibility". A full 19 songs make Further Adventures a great collection of Ron's best faith related songs through the years. Ephrem Ron became Orthodox in 1995 and as he says, "never looked back".
